Curiosità

Un attacco furioso contro certi artistoidi (soprattutto musicisti) che sembrano vivere in un mondo totalmente incompatibile con la realtà. Più sono superficiali e distaccati dalla realtà, più si sentono "risvegliati" e "profondi". Va bene avere problemi con lo status quo, ma non al punto di immaginare vaghe, indefinite utopie che sono inapplicabili nel mondo reale. A lungo termine, questa tendenza fa più danni che altro.

Musicalmente, su questo brano, mi sono lasciato andare al metal underground anni '80 più primitivo e nichilista immaginabile: Brasile, Germania e tutta la merda più marcia e rumorista che circolava all'epoca tramite tape-trading.

You wanna attack the system without a plan

Learn the meaning of "pragmatism"

Be an infiltrate, be a trojan horse

Screw your empty idealism

Abstract concepts, abstract principles

Your weak antidote to reality

Your mottos, devoid of meaning

But so pleasing and motivating

Your values are decaying

And you mourn them all in vain (ha ha ha!)

Utility and need rule this world

If you ignore this you can't change anything

You are the one who would make a revolution

But doesn't know people's real needs

Your attempt to change the world is laughable

You don't know how things really work

Stop poetizing, stop idealizing

Incapable of deep thought

Or analysis, eternal child

Superstitious, so ingenuous

Your worldview is sugar-coated

You're a dreamer, just admit

That you hate the real world

Misinformed, superficial

And you call yourself "profound"

Do you think people are all altruistic

And don't act for their own interest?

If you wanna propose an alternative

You must promise something for them in return
