Trivia

A dark, slightly experimental track, sort of Godflesh-meets-Schizo. For the intro, I sampled and pitched down the sound of me beating a washing machine, and used it as percussion. It was fun.

The lyrics were inspired by one of the few Internet creepypastas that ever actually intrigued me: it's about a man who allegedly had a car accident and suffered from hallucinations during recovery, having some incredibly realistic visions of hell, to the point of believing demons were going to take him. Whether the story is true or not, I think it stands as a fitting example of how absurd "personal experience" can be, and how our brain can easily mistake hallucinations for something real. Keep that in mind, when talking about "that very real experience you had".

Lyrics

Laying on the floor, burning bright

Embracing a block of ice

Is this just a hallucination

Or are they coming for real?

My soul, already departed

After the traumatic crash

My body, crippled and weak

Violated by occult presences

Abyssic visions keep haunting my mind

The pain and the horror, I feel them so real

It feels like I'm burning and it's all so atrocious

Yet no one but me sees what's really going on

I've seen their place, seen the tortures they make

I know that I'll soon be part of that too

I cannot escape, they keep tracking me down

They never let me go, they're coming from inside
